Here Is Demi Lovato’s High Ponytail And How Her Stylist Was Able To Do It

Demi Lovato gave Us all high ponytail envy on Monday, August 7, with a trio of Instagram posts that showed off her serious glam game. The “Confident” singer was rocking a shimmering orchid eye, perfectly groomed brows, fluttery lashes and a coordinated flush, as well as a gorgeous sheen on her lips from lip gloss. But, the real scene stealer was her flirty, fun and oh-so curly high ponytail, which Lovato wore cascading to one side.

Stylish caught up with Lovato’s hairstylist, Justine Marjan, who broke down the exact steps and products she used to give the former Disney star her peppy look. To start, Marjan prepped Lovato’s damp hair with Tresemmé Beauty Full Mouse and OUAI Wave Spray and then blew the singer’s hair dry with a ceramic round brush for maximum volume.

Once the hair was dry, Marjan sprayed Bumble and bumble Dryspun Finish Spray and used a 1 ¼ inch GHD Soft Curl Iron to create tiny spirals in small sections of hair, taking care to alternate the direction of the curl.
Then Lovato’s curls were combed through and a few clip-in extensions (from the Hair Shop) were added for length and fullness. Marjan then took a small amount of Fatboy Sea Salt Pomade in her hands and gathered the top half of hair into a high half-up ponytail and secured it with a BLAX hair elastic. Next, she gathered the bottom half of the hair and attached it to the top ponytail with a hair bungee, wrapping a piece of hair around the base to camouflage it.
The key to the girly vibe though are the baby hairs, which Marjan took care to pull out around Lovato’s face and then sprayed generously with R+Co Vicious Hairspray for hold. To finish, RIta Hazan Root Concealer was used to camouflage any partings.

Mariah Carey Says She Does Not Know Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande

Right back at ya! It’s been months since Demi Lovato dissed Mariah Carey on social media, but the diva is finally fighting back.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, December 18, Carey played a game of “Plead the Fifth.”
After dodging questions about her breakup with ex-fiancé James Packer, and her new reported romance with backup dancer Bryan Tanaka, she was asked about Lovato’s controversial comments last summer.
"Demi Lovato, I didn't know this, she kind of shaded you on social media," the host said. "She made assumptions about Ariana Grande, and she said, 'Mariah's a legend and she's so talented but she disses people. It's nasty the way she treats Jennifer [Lopez].' What would you say to Demi?"
Carey — who has famously insists she “doesn’t know” Jennifer Lopez, despite the Latina singer’s insistence that they’ve met “many times” — didn’t hold back.
”I don't know her either and so I wouldn't say anything to her," she said about Lovato, 24. "She should come up, introduce herself to me, say, 'Here's my opinion, what do you think about it?' That's how you handle s--t, OK?"
Earlier in the interview Cohen also asked his guest if she knew Ariana Grande.

"No," she said matter of factly. "I don't know … Honestly, I'm not familiar. I listen to hip-hop more than I listen to pop music.”

Demi Lovato Attacks Taylor Swift (Second Time) for ‘Trying To Tear Down Katy Perry’

Still hissing and scratching. Demi Lovato slammed Taylor Swift (once more!) in a new interview with Glamour magazine. The "Body Say" singer, 24, spoke about the fellow pop star, 26, while discussing feminism. Find out what she said in details below.
"And you’ve said before, in regard to Taylor Swift, 'Don’t brand yourself a feminist if you don’t do the work.' How do you see yourself doing the work?" Glamour's Emily Mahaney asked.

"Just speaking out," Lovato replied. "I’m not afraid to talk about the fact that women get paid less than men in the United States and how unfair that is. Talking about it at all is doing the work. And I think every woman does her part in some way. But I think in certain situations, certain people could be doing more if they’re going to claim that as part of their brand. To be honest, and this will probably get me in trouble, I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like. And what they should be like, and it’s not real."

As previously reported, the former Disney star bashed Swift in February for donating $250,000 to Kesha during her sexual assault case against music producer Dr. Luke instead of taking "something to Capitol Hill." More recently, Lovato even liked a tweet that read "I love Kim Kardashian" amid the reality star's feud with Swift.

Lovato bared her true feelings about Swift again when Glamour brought up her famous girl squad. "It’s not realistic," Lovato told the mag. "And I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment. We all do things that aren’t, but I have to ask myself, Am I content with calling myself a feminist? Yes, because I speak out." (Lovato and the "Wildest Dreams" singer used to be on friendlier terms. The two are both best friends with Selena Gomez and have a common ex — Joe Jonas.)

Swift reportedly wrote the 2015 "Bad Blood" about former pal Perry, 31. (Perry dated John Mayer on and off for two years after his brief fling with Swift in 2009.) Last year, however, she told GQ that the song "doesn't point to any one person.
Lovato was just as open about other famous celebs. She spoke about coheadlining the Future Now tour with Nick Jonas and her recent split from Wilmer Valderrama. The exes announced in June that they decided to part ways after six years of dating.
"I think it’s healthy to be able to start over with someone else," Lovato explained. "Being sick was always a part of my relationship with him; I always had something wrong with me. I needed to let go of that. It was hard to depart from somebody who saw everything, but it may be nice to start fresh with somebody. Because that person I was when I was a lot younger is not who I am today."
Lovato didn't stay single for long. In July, it was revealed that she's hooking up with UFC fighter Luke Rockhold
