Woman dies after she was gang-raped, violated with stick by three men including ex-husband

According to a shocking new report, a woman breathed her last after she was dragged to a field and raped by her ex-husband and two other men, who later violated her with a stick as well. As per NDTV, the gang-rape victim had been to watch a play at a theater before the incident took place.

The woman, who had gone to watch a play during the Hindu festival of Kali Puja Wednesday night, was brutally attacked by the three men, one of whom was her ex-husband, claimed reports. The men allegedly dragged the woman to a nearby field from the theater in the middle of the play, raped and assaulted her, and then proceeded to abuse her with a stick.

Local police in the Jamtara province of Jharkhand, India, said the victim's neighbors heard the woman crying out for help the morning after, i.e. Thursday, and that is when they took her to the hospital in Narayanpur. The victim, according to the neighbors, kept accusing her ex-husband and two others of the attack in her agony.

Police officer BN Singh said they arrested her ex-husband but his associates still remain at large and the search for them is still on. The victim, as per reports, was referred to the Jamtara Sadar Hospital but was declared dead by the time she got there.

However, it is rare for more than a few weeks to pass without another brutal sexual assault being reported. Previously, just a few days ago, a four-year-old girl was reportedly gang-raped by a nurse and four others while being treated in an intensive care unit for a snake bite.

Painting of Jesus miraculously survives inferno at historic Massachusetts church

A lightning strike reportedly ignited a massive inferno Tuesday night at the 150-year-old First Baptist Church in Wakefield, Massachusetts, destroying almost everything inside -- but amid the rubble, crews miraculously found one painting survived the hellish flames.

A painting depicting Jesus Christ – standing in a white robe with hands, bearing the marks of crucifixion, extended – survived nearly untouched with only a few drops of water on it. The painting hung just inside the church’s front doors.

“It’s a beautiful sign of hope and a reminder that Jesus is with us,” church member Maria Kakolowski told Boston 25. “I am personally just taking it as a sign and a reminder that the Jesus, the Christ that we serve is still alive and even though our church building is gone, our church is here. The God that we serve is still here.”

Crews began dismantling the remnants of the historic building Wednesday morning. There is no official cause of the fire, however, residents nearby said they saw lightning hit the church’s steeple.

The fire was reported after powerful thunderstorms rolled through the Greater Boston area.

In a statement, church officials expressed their gratitude no parishioners were hurt and thanked the fire department for battling the seven-alarm blaze.

“We know that we serve a God who specializes in restoring brokenness and who can bring beauty even from ashes,” they wrote. “So we move into the future with trust, hope, and gratitude.”

A GoFundMe page was created to help the church.

Interim pastor Norm Bendroth told Boston 25 that he was settling down to watch the Boston Red Sox beat the Los Angeles Dodgers in the World Series on Tuesday night when he saw “a fireball in the sky.”

“It just went up like a tinderbox. It’s a building built in 1870 and it’s a balloon-style so one the fire starts you know the whole building just went up quickly,” he said.

According to the National Register of Historic Places, the Italianate structure was constructed around 1872 and rebuilt in 1912 after a fire.

The estimated damage was more than $1 million, with the town’s fire chief, Michael Sullivan, telling the Boston Globe the “extent of the fire on arrival was just too great for us to stop it.”

He added: “It’s a shame, beautiful church. We feel bad about that but there’s really nothing we could do."

AI-generated artwork Portrait of Edmond Belamy sold for 45 times its anticipated price at Christie's, going under the hammer for an eye-watering $435,000 in New York.

While the painting (of sorts) is done by computers, the project is actually the creation of Obvious, a Parisian collective consisting of Hugo Caselles-Dupré, Pierre Fautrel and Gauthier Vernier.





It's the first AI-created artwork that's gone to auction, and was created by an algorithm which uses thousands of portraits to create the image.

"The algorithm is composed of two parts," Caselles-Dupré explained in a statement online. "On one side is the Generator, on the other the Discriminator. We fed the system with a data set of 15,000 portraits painted between the 14th century to the 20th.

"The Generator makes a new image based on the set, then the Discriminator tries to spot the difference between a human-made image and one created by the Generator. The aim is to fool the Discriminator into thinking that the new images are real-life portraits. Then we have a result."

While it resembles a portrait, there is slight distortion in its appearance, which is a result of the AI being not quite there when it comes to aesthetics.

"The Discriminator is looking for the features of the image — a face, shoulders — and for now it is more easily fooled than a human eye," Caselles-Dupré added.

It's not the first time AI has been used to create art. Last year, Los Angeles artist Matty Mo used the technology to create portraits of factory workers, art dealers, pilots, artists, and taxi drivers, jobs that he believes will be replaced by machines.

Haley, from Leicester, said: “My nan wasn’t expecting it at all. You could see the shock in her face. She may be 90 but she’s still young at heart. For a 90-year-old she’s got a very good sense of humour, and she swears like a trooper.

“My mum had the cake made for her. I’ve no idea what inspired my mum to get that cake. Everyone is used to my nan sitting in her arm chair, fag in one hand, remote in the other hand, and I think she really wanted to get her a cake like that but couldn’t get one.

“But you can’t top that one now. She absolutely loved the cake. When she was waiting for a cake she knew we had a surprise, and she just went ‘ooh is it a male stripper?’

“Me and my husband were joking a few months back about getting her one and she was saying ‘oh, maybe 10 years ago’. We were going to have it sent to the house rather than the party, but I think that’s what she was expecting because we were covering her up in paper towels and that [before the cake came out].

“Nobody knew, only my mum and my brother, and it was all quiet and then they bought the cake out. It was brilliant. It’s lovely to see her like that because she doesn’t really get out much anymore.”

The birthday party bought in five generations of family, with Jean’s 12 children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren making up nearly 200 guests. But it wasn’t the first time that the family had managed to prank their matriarch with a raunchy gift.

Haley said: “A few years ago my uncle bought her a vibrator and she thought it was a back massager. She didn’t use it. We told her what it was and she just said: ‘put that thing away’. She has a great sense of humour in every aspect."

“When someone new comes into the family we never tell them what my nan’s like so we can spring her on them. It’s great when we all get together because there’s a really good atmosphere.

“You go to some parties and there’s a good atmosphere, but you never get one that’s just laughs. It’s like that with us — it’s just a great atmosphere. We had a brilliant time on Saturday. My nan even stayed up past her bedtime.”

Woman Gives Birth Inside a Chick-Fil-A Bathroom — and Her Baby Gets Free Food for Life

After taking an unplanned bathroom break at Chick-Fil-A, a couple ended up delivering their baby in the restaurant’s bathroom.

“Last night I delivered our baby girl IN THE BATHROOM AT A CHICK-FIL-A!” Robert Griffin enthusiastically proclaimed on Wednesday in a lengthy Facebook post that has since gotten over 200,000 likes.

After Robert’s wife Falon began having contractions on Tuesday, the couple made a pit stop on their way to San Antonio, Texas’ University Hospital to meet up with a family friend at a local Chick-Fil-A store so they could drop off their two older daughters, KSAT ABC 12 reported.

As for what happened next, Robert wrote that as they were stopped, his wife realized she needed to use the bathroom. While it was after 10 p.m. at the time “and Chick-Fil-A was closed,” the couple banged on the windows to try and get the staff’s attention because Falon didn’t feel like she could wait until they got to the hospital.

After waving goodbye to the kids, Robert went inside the store to find out from the manager that his wife was “screaming” in the restroom — only to learn that she was in the process of giving birth!

“I can see just the top of Gracelyn’s head, just barely crowning, but I knew we couldn’t go anywhere. So I told her, ‘Sweetie, we’re gonna do something great, and we’re gonna do it right here and we’re gonna do it right now,’ ” Robert told KENS-TV.

“I couldn’t control it,” his wife added. “I was basically [straddling] the toilet — I wasn’t even sitting down. I was literally standing giving birth, with one hand on the wall and one hand holding her head.”

However, during the delivery, Robert wrote on Facebook that he noticed that the child’s umbilical cord ‘was wrapped around her neck TWICE.” Not wanting to worry his wife, Robert “told her to relax for a minute and I was somehow able to unwrap the chord [sic] from the baby’s neck.”

“With two more strong pushes, and using my shirt for a towel, out came Gracelyn Mae Violet Griffin,” he wrote, adding that “paramedics arrived 15 minutes later” and that “everyone’s healthy.”

Continuing, the proud papa wrote, “Her birth certificate reads ‘Born in Chick-Fil-A’ and the hospital had me sign the birth certificate as the attending physician. 👊”

KSAT reported that ironically enough, ahead of Gracelyn’s birth, her parents actually purchased a Chick-Fil-A onesie reading “Little Nugget” on it.

In honor of the unexpected delivery, the popular franchise will give her free food for life and has also guaranteed her a job as soon as she turns 16, according to KENS-TV.

Abby Lee Miller Completes Her Fifth Round of Chemotherapy: 'I Deserve a Little Treat Today'

Abby Lee Miller is celebrating the end of her latest round of chemotherapy with a little makeover.

The former Dance Moms star, 51, shared an update on her recovery on Instagram Friday from her hospital bed.

“I just finished my 5th round of Chemo!!!” she wrote in the caption. “I think I deserve a little treat today, so I’m putting on my make-up just in case! #abbyleemiller #aldcla #abbylee #dancemoms #aldc.”

In the photo, Miller smiled at the camera as she held up a mascara brush in one hand and a Nars makeup palette in the other.

Last week, the TV reality star shared a photo of herself sustained in the air by a harness and holding on to a beam following emergency surgery on her back.

“‘Look at me, way up high I never thought I’d be cast in the role of Peter Pan, but I’m harnessed up and ready to fly!!” she wrote in the caption.

Miller — who was preliminarily diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma — was first spotted out of her hospital bed and moving around in a wheelchair on June 22, weeks after she revealed she had begun the healing process following the emergency surgery.

Since then, she’s frequently posted photos of herself in recovery. In early July, she shared a photo of her back on Instagram which she captioned with, “After the 2nd surgery, My back is finally on the mend.”

“I just wish the top section & bottom would hurry along too!” she added. “I had 52 staples perfectly aligned and now a bunch of crazy stitches are holding my neck & lumbar region together!”

While she is taking slow steps toward recovery, production for Dance Moms has begun casting and the former instructor is involved in the process, a rep for Lifetime confirmed to IPRESSTV on Thursday.

That same day, she shared a photo of herself with a cameraman, Max Segal, on Instagram while smiling from her hospital bed.

“Back to work…….. Lights, Camera, Action!! 🎥#dancemoms #abbylee #abbyleemiller#aldc #aldcla,” she wrote in the caption.

Two Children Bitten in Alleged Shark Attack Off New York's Fire Island: 'It Was Pretty Surreal'

Two kids were attacked by what authorities suspect to be sharks on Wednesday off of Fire Island, New York, authorities tell news outlets.

A 13-year-old boy was bitten off Atlantique Beach, just four and half miles away from where a 12-year-old girl was attacked on Sailors Haven, NBC reports. Both attacks happened around 11:15 a.m.

According to the news outlet, the boy was boggie boarding when the incident occurred. Barely able to make it to shore, a lifeguard ran to him and saw he had been bitten.

A spokesperson told NBC that his wound was cleaned, but not before they noticed a tooth sticking out from his leg.

That tooth was “consistent with a large fish,” Elizabeth Rogers, spokeswoman for the Fire Island National Seashore, told Newsday. 

The Suffolk police marine bureau is now “awaiting identification of the tooth” from the State Department of Environmental Conservation’s marine bureau before they can confirm or deny that the tooth actually came from a shark.

According to WABC, the teen was able to walk and was sent to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.





Further down the beach, a 12-year-old girl’s father, Philip Pollina, told NBC that his daughter was waist-deep in the water when she began to panic. Lifeguards pulled her out and saw deep cuts on her leg.

“Once we figured it out it was pretty surreal,” he told NBC.

The girl’s mother told ABC News that she is “hanging in there — a little overwhelmed right now.”

According to ABC, the officials that oversee Fire Island’s beaches — which include Suffolk County and the National Parks Service — haven’t confirmed the bites came from sharks. The beaches were closed for the rest of the day because of the two incidents.

Larry Cahoon, professor of biology and marine biology at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, previously spoke with IPRESSTV about what to do if you come face-to-face with a shark.

“People say to swim slowly back to shore, but what is that going to do? Swim to shore as fast as you can. shark that means to eat you will keep coming,” he said. “You need to call for help. People who survive all but the least damaging shark attacks got immediate help from others.”

He also suggested not aiming for the nose if the shark comes towards you, but instead go for their eyes and gills, which are a “shark’s most sensitive area.”

But the best thing you can do is “just focus on getting back to land.”

He added: “A 10-foot bull shark will weigh close to 500 pounds and is essentially all muscle. What chance would anyone have?”

How you can Identify any Insect Just By Looking at Their Mouth

Most of us learned how to tell arachnids and insects apart in elementary school, but classifying insects into their different orders based on looks alone is a little trickier. If you want to look at insects like an entomologist does, though, there’s one body part in particular you should focus on. According to a TED-Ed lesson by Anika Hazra, identifying the type of mouth an insect has can tell you a lot about what group it belongs to, what it eats, and how it evolved.

There are five main types of mouthparts insects can have, the most common of which is the chewing mouthpart. These mouths are characterized by large, serrated mandibles made for grinding up plants and prey. Believed to be the most primitive type of insect mouth still around today, you can see the chewing mouthpart on insects like ants and grasshoppers.

Other insect mouthparts include the pierce-sucking type, which is used by bedbugs and mosquitos to suck blood; the siphoning mouthpart, the curly, straw-like mouths that butterflies have; the sponging mouthpart, which helps flies sop up fluids; and the chewing-lapping mouthpart, which enables bees to build their hives as well as eat.

When She's Not Helping Students, This Artist Is Leaving Stunning Surprises For Them

Joanna Hedrick works as a counselor at the Sacramento State University Student Service Center. But in her free time, she creates beautiful environmental art on campus.

It all started in 2013, when Hedrick was taking photos of her two children at the school. Looking for a visually striking background, she used a rake to arrange fallen leaves from a gingko tree into a gorgeous golden pattern. 

She was stunned by the overwhelmingly positive response from those who saw and shared photos of it on social media, so she decided to make her art an annual tradition. Now she creates about six elaborate designs every year from the leaves of gingko trees, leaving them as gifts for students studying for exams.

"[My art] is about taking something that's already beautiful and making something unique—something you don't just pass by," Hedrick told Sactown Magazine. Check out some of her best arrangements below, all of which take two to three hours to create.

14 Year Old Boy Accidentally Emptied His mum’s entire bank account playing FIFA

A mum was devastated to learn her teenage son had accidentally spent an entire month of her wages playing FIFA.

The unnamed Irish woman has now issued a warning for parents to be aware after her 14-year-old completely emptied her bank account just a few days before Christmas.


She says her debit card was linked to FIFA 18 on the Playstation which meant, unbeknownst to her son, that every time he bought ‘points’ she was charged.
The woman, who did not want to be named, claims her son was unaware money was being taken out of her bank account while playing because the game doesn’t tell you it has a cost element or you are being charged.
But when she later went to withdraw money out she was shocked to discover it had been spent, the Irish Mirror reported.

It has left the family, from Cork, facing the prospect of a dismal Christmas after her whole month’s pay, including overtime, was drained.
She said: ‘This was my first Christmas working full time and then to go to your bank account and find it empty with the whole month’s pay and overtime in the buildup to Christmas just gone is horrendous.


‘I had to take my son out of school after speaking to the bank so that he could go home and take everything offline as money was still going out of my account.
‘He is so upset he is staying in bed. He is withdrawn and is blaming himself. He reckoned he has spoiled Christmas for his family. I can’t even get him to school.’
She said there is nothing she can do but wants other parents to be aware.
But Sony, the company behind Playstation, have refused to return the money.
