Why That Girl Didn't Reply Your Text: 21 Reasons and What You Should Do Next

You like her… a lot. And you guys had a great time together. But now, you’re left scratching your head because she didn’t text back. Why, oh why?

Ahhh, ain’t love a mystery? Just when you think you two are really into each other, she does an about-face and leaves you confused. Was it something you said? Was she faking it? Does she have a boyfriend? All of these questions must be going through your mind when she didn’t text back.
Or maybe she did at first, but then she suddenly stopped texting back. So, what gives?
Human nature
When you live long enough, you discover that humans are fickle. And sometimes, they are really flaky, too. The old saying, “you always want what you can’t have,” is sometimes very true. It shouldn’t be, but it is.
Human being are just plain ol’ unpredictable. It drives us all nuts, but it’s reality. Some people are more reliable and predictable than others, but even then, you still never quite know what they’ll do next.
20 reasons why she didn’t text back
I don’t have a magic wand or an innate ability to read people’s minds, but I have been around a while, so I have some insider information about girls. And that means I know all about the dating game.
It shouldn’t be a “game,” but unfortunately, many people make it into one. So, whether you like it or not, there are probably reasons she didn’t text back. And here are 20 possible reasons.
#1 Things have changed. Yeah, I know the word “things” is really vague. But I used that word because there could be countless circumstances that have changed. Or maybe she was just drunk when you met. Or maybe she’s moving to a different country and didn’t tell you. The possibilities for change are endless.
#2 Her feelings have changed. Umm, yeah, we’ve all been there. Maybe you met at a bar and she was tipsy or just downright drunk. You know the whole “beer goggles” phenomenon, right?
I’m not implying that you’re ugly, but maybe she just felt differently “in the moment” when you guys met. And now she has changed her mind.
#3 She was just being polite when she gave you her number. Let’s face it, guys. Most girls don’t like to hurt other people’s feelings *although some have no problem with it*. But most normal human beings have a heart.
So even if she didn’t like you, she didn’t want to make you feel bad by saying you couldn’t have her number. Cruel, I know. But in her head, she was being more kind.
#4 You appeared too stand-offish to her. Okay, so the whole “bad boy” persona doesn’t always work. Bad boys are stand-offish. Girls like to know that a guy is into her. But if you act all cool and aloof *even if you asked for her number*, she might be turned off by that.
#5 You seemed too much like a smooth-talker. Now we have the whole stereotype of the player. You know the type… the one who will say anything to get a girl into bed. Compliments, touching, body language… you know how it goes. So maybe she thought all of your moves were just a fake act.
#6 She didn’t like what you texted her. If you just texted, “hey,” she might think it was boring and lacked effort. Or if you complimented her perfect butt, she might think it’s inappropriate. Think about what you said to her, and see if you think maybe it’s not in line with what she wanted to hear.
#7 You are being too sexually forward. Please, guys. No dick pictures. Really! It’s just nasty. I mean, maybe if you’re in a committed relationship, it’s different. But if you don’t really know a girl, that does NOT turn her on! It turns her off.
And even if it’s just sexual talk, it’s just not appropriate. And that’s a huge reason she didn’t text back. So just don’t do it. Keep it classy.
#8 You are being too needy. If you are constantly asking when you can see her again, or if you’re texting her all day every day… ummm… yeah… NEEDY. Needy is icky. And that’s why she didn’t text back. There’s a difference between being interested in someone and being needy. Sometimes less is more.
#9 You’re complimenting her too much. Believe it or not, some people don’t like compliments. It makes them feel uncomfortable. Or even if they do like it when you compliment them, if you say too much, then it sounds fake. Compliments are great when they are unique and genuine. But if you’re doing it in every other text, hold off. It’s too much.
#10 You won’t leave her alone. She does have a life, you know. And if you’re not dating her, then you are not the center of it. She has work. She has friends. She has other obligations other than texting you back. So, if you keep badgering her, it will turn her off.
#11 You asked or said something inappropriate. Did you ask her which sex position is her favorite? Or how many men she’s slept with? Or maybe you said you can’t wait to make sweet passionate love to her. Anything can be inappropriate. It’s all in the interpretation.
So, err on the side of caution. Think about what you’re really saying before you send the text. Again, keep it classy.
#12 She has a boyfriend. This is not classy on HER part, but it happens. She probably really liked you, so she acted like she was single. She went along with it, because she was enjoying the moment. Selfish? Yes. Does it happen? Absolutely. It’s a bummer, and unethical, but it’s reality… and a good reason she didn’t text back.
#13 She thinks you’re not unique. Maybe you’re using the same lines as the last 10 guys she talked to. Or you suggested dinner and a movie, and she thinks that’s “yawn-worthy.” Girls like guys who are different, but in a good way.
#14 She only likes you as a friend. Ahhh… the dreaded friend-zone. It could be a big reason she didn’t text back. No one wants to be there, yet most of us have been at some point in our lives. But listen, being friends is also pretty awesome. It doesn’t mean you’re unattractive, it just means she doesn’t think you’re a good match for her.
#15 She’s talking to a lot of different guys and can’t keep them all straight. This isn’t very classy or ethical on her part either, but girls do this a lot. She makes you think that you’re the only one she’s talking to, when in fact, you’re just part of a crowd.
#16 She’s rude. In my opinion, you should treat other people the way you’d like to be treated. And no one wants to be ignored, right? So, she might just be a rude person who doesn’t care about hurting your feelings or making you feel insignificant. In this case, good riddance to her! You wouldn’t want her anyway.
#17 She’s ignoring you on purpose. Again, not real nice, but maybe she’s trying to give you a hint. Girls don’t like being direct, so if she’s purposely not texting you, she could really be saying “slow down,” or “stop being needy,” or “please don’t text me again.” Girls are the queens of indirect messages.
#18 She thinks you’re boring. Do you only talk to her about sports? Or tell the same stories over and over and over? Girls need to find you interesting. So, if you don’t provide her any mental stimulation, she might be ditching you on purpose.
#19 She’s busy. I know you want to think this is the #1 and only reason she didn’t text back. And it could be, but it’s probably unlikely. If she really likes you, she will most likely make the time to communicate with you, even if she’s busy. But, nonetheless, it’s still a possibility.
#20 She’s playing hard to get. Maybe she wants you to work harder to catch her. She thinks that if she “ignores” you, then you will amp up your game. Girls like it when guys chase them. And in order to do that, sometimes they play hard to get.
If she didn’t text back, it’s never fun. And these are some reasons why it might be happening. But hey, don’t let it get you down. If she’s not into you, then just move on to someone who is.

What A Perfect Boyfriend Physical Appearance Should Look Like

Unicorns, leprechauns, perfect boyfriend. What do they have in common? They’re not real. In case of magic, here’s the anatomy of a perfect boyfriend.

So, you have an idea of what your perfect boyfriend is supposed to be. If you’ve been in the dating circle for quite a while, you’ll realize you don’t really choose who you end up falling in love with. In fact, you may have fallen a few times for guys entirely the opposite of your idea of a perfect boyfriend.

But think about this: wouldn’t it be nice if you could choose your own version of a perfect boyfriend? What kind of guy is he going to be?
What if, instead of waiting for that cute guy at Whole Foods to notice you, you built your own perfect boyfriend, just like building your own pizza? What if that guy comes loaded with all the combination of features you’ve always wanted?
The perfect boyfriend
Well, too bad there’s no such thing, but it’s nice to imagine, right? Anyway, we’ve rounded up these following qualities to show you the anatomy of a perfect boyfriend. Read on to find out how your man stacks up.
#1 Head. The perfect boyfriend has a good head on his shoulders, which means he’s smart. It’s also a plus that he’s not a stuck-up smarty pants or a boring intellectual who’s all talk and no action.
Another thing to look for in a perfect boyfriend for you is how he handles stress and difficult situations. He should be level-headed instead of impulsive.
It also pays that the brain of his knows a few good jokes to make you laugh or take the edge off awkward and difficult situations.
#2 Face. Of course, the perfect boyfriend must have the looks. Whether he’s supposed to look like Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, or even Robert Downey, Jr., his looks and his charms should be what set him apart from all other men out there.
And when your perfect boyfriend walks into a room, everyone’s eyes are on him. Girls would love to have him and guys would love to be friends with him. His smile holds infectious positivity that makes everyone feel good around him, especially you.
#3 Ears. The perfect boyfriend is a good listener. Generally, men are callous, insensitive, and plain egocentric. But not your man. He’ll be all ears when you talk about how your day went, why your office mate Sue is so nosy, and why you can’t wait for the next line of Kylie’s Lipkit to arrive.
He will also be an active listener. When you go out to dinner or star-gazing, you’ll briefly mention how you’ve always loved 70% dark chocolate *not 50%, but 70%, you stressed*. And then the next day, he’ll be on your doorstep with roses and some bars of the best 70% dark chocolates from Ghana.
#4 Lips. Of course, the perfect boyfriend must be a good, if not awesome, kisser. You’ve been imagining having your customized Ken doll in front of you, pulling you into his arms as he leans in for a torrid kiss. And you will be mind-blown.
The most important part of this anatomy, though, is that he has good oral hygiene. No one wants to kiss their ideal man only to find out his saliva smells like rotting trash.
And since you’re building your personalized pizza… er, perfect boyfriend, he also needs nice teeth for that perfect smile.
#5 Shoulder. The problem with most guys is that they’re unreliable when it comes to “getting” you. They actually have no clue how to make you happy, much less comfort you. So, the perfect boyfriend has to have firm, muscled shoulders that you can cry on when you’re down.
Aside from that, he should also be emotionally available, willing to listen to your woes, especially when the world is against you every month when your hormones act all crazy, and you have your period.
#6 Arms. The perfect boyfriend should also be nice. He’s the type who extends his respect not just to you or the people close to you, but to everyone in general. He should respect your boundaries, allow you to be yourself and to grow, but still be all over you in bed.
#7 Hands. The perfect boyfriend shouldn’t be superficial—oh no. He should be a man of substance. He should also be hardworking and willing to get his hands dirty.
He should also have hands that know how to please you, literally and figuratively. When you’re down and sad, he knows how to wipe away your tears. And when you’re having any difficult time, he’s willing to extend his hands to help you out.
#8 Chest/heart. The perfect boyfriend must also have a heart of gold. He’s willing to put up with all the ups and downs of your relationship—most especially the downs. In fact, he’s so nice he may even push you to join your local soup kitchen and do volunteer work to help the disenfranchised and in need.
He should also be passionate about you and the things he likes. If there’s something that he likes, he puts his 100 percent into it. And when it comes to making you fall in love with him, he does his best to make sure you feel loved and appreciated every day.
#9 Body. While most men are satisfied with their dad bods or couch potato physiques, your perfect boyfriend works hard to keep himself fit and toned. He exercises regularly and encourages you to hit the gym or run around the park so both of you stay active.
Of course, his body should feel good next to yours too. You should have undeniable chemistry, especially in bed.
#10 Tummy. Your perfect boyfriend has an appetite for life. He doesn’t mind it when things don’t exactly go as planned. He even likes spontaneity at times and loves to surprise you with romantic gestures every now and then.
He has a huge appetite for your cooking too. And if you can’t cook, no problem—he will pick up the slack and whip up a beef bourguignon any time of day.
#11 Hips. We’ll just put it in here. You have to love how his hips feel as he moves inside you *if you know what we mean*.
#12 Legs. The perfect boyfriend goes out of his way to make you feel good and appreciated. He makes you feel special. In a slump after finding out the shoe sale ended and you lost your chance to buy that pair you’ve always wanted—don’t worry, he’ll be there.
He’s the type who will not hesitate to be there for you when you’re down, wherever you may be.
#13 Feet. Even if he has every trait there is in guys that all girls would love, he’s not conceited or arrogant about it. His feet are firmly planted on the ground. He doesn’t act like he’s all that *even if he is*, so he wouldn’t go around looking for any side chicks because you’re the only girl for him.
So even if you’ve found a guy right now and he’s not all that you want a boyfriend to be, just remember: there’s no such thing as a perfect boyfriend, only a perfect boyfriend for you. What suits you best may not entirely pass your standards and ideals, but maybe he’s exactly what you need to complete your life.
Consider the guy you’ve been thinking as you read this. Maybe he doesn’t fit the bill when it comes to all the features mentioned above. While he may not be entirely perfect, but just the fact that you’ve been thinking of him, it looks like he’s just perfect for you.

Teenage Boy Murders Cheerleader Girlfriend In Her Sleep After She Breakup With Him

A teenager is accused of killing his cheerleader girlfriend in her sleep after he “refused to accept” their breakup. William Riley Gaul, 18, of Tennessee, posted a tribute tweet to Emma Jean Walker, 16, just hours after her body was found at a home in North Knox County on Monday. The football player allegedly shot Walker from outside her house as she slept in her bed, reports the Knoxville News Sentinel. He has been arrested and charged with the killing.

In a pinned Twitter post, Gaul wrote, To think that every memory we have, every happy special moment we shared, can’t ever be relived. I love you Emma Jane Walker.

In another tweet, he included a screenshot of a note he wrote. It reads, You’re gone, but I promise your legacy will live on through each and every person who loves and cares about you and that number of people is endless. You’re beautiful, you’re amazing, you’re funny, compassionate, caring… you’re my best friend. There’s not a human on Earth that can make the impact that you’ve had on my life. I miss you more than anything. You’ll weigh heavy on my mind for the rest of my life because no one can fill the void that’s in my heart now.

Gaul went on to recall memories of the pair messing around during football games. He added, Just knowing you have someone that’s so in love with you gives you so much hope for your life ahead, and it can be taken away, just like that.

Walker’s aunt, Jenny Weldon, said Gaul had trouble accepting the relationship was over. She said, She had chosen to move on. He refused to accept it. He chose not to accept her wishes. Her heart was in service. She was born to be a helper. Gaul is being held on a $750,000 bond in the Knox County Jail.

"His Girlfriend Just Sent Me A Facebook Message" What Should I Do?

The last time ladyincake saw her former friend with benefits, she thought their relationship had run its course. They live in different countries, after all, and only saw each other when they were in the same city briefly. Recently, she decided casual hookups weren't really for her, and she moved on. No damage done—or so she thought.

Then, she received an unexpected Facebook message. "Today, I got a message from a girl saying that she knows it's weird, but wanted to know how I knew him," she told Reddit. "She said she has been in a relationship with him for four years. That would mean that our time together overlapped." Uh oh.
Her instinct is that she wouldn't be a home-wrecker by ratting him out because he's the one who sealed the relationship's fate. She's a bit worried that if she stirs the pot, he could use nudes she's sent him against her, though.
Should she tell her former fling's girlfriend that he cheated? Or is that the couple's business and theirs alone? Here's what Reddit said:
"Wouldn't you want to know your BF of four years was a cheating piece of sh*t? It sounds like she already suspects something was up or maybe is having doubts now that marriage might be on the table. As you said, you're not ruining his relationship by telling her. He already did it by lying to you and cheating on her." —TeslasCurrentAlt
"You should confirm how you know the guy to the girlfriend. Leave emotions out of it. Outline dates and give her the facts. Then just leave it at that and move on. You are right, he ruined his own relationship. You have nothing to do with his bad actions because you didn't know she existed. She deserves to know so that she can confront him and leave appropriately." —pregsthethrowaway
"I would reply, 'Oh FML, I thought he was single and we met at X place and have hooked up on and off over this many years. I'm so sorry that you've been cheated on, and I swear I didn't know. Ugh.'" —coffee_goddess
"I normally tell people not to get involved in the relationships of other people. But since this woman is asking, you should tell her." —Julevict
"If he has nudes of you with your face, I would just drop it. In 99 percent of cases, it's better to tell, but in this case, you really have no idea who this guy is or what he would do with those if he finds out you told." —little-capybara

What do you think? Should she tell this woman the truth or just stay out of the situation?

16 Characteristics That Qualifies You To Be A Perfect Boyfriend Material

If you want a girlfriend, you have to know how to be a boyfriend first. Here’s how you can become boyfriend material with some tried and tested tips.

Being in a relationship is awesome. Maintaining a relationship is another thing altogether. Although a lot of women are now more assertive and dominant, the rest are still guided by the idea that guys need to adhere to some sort of standard for boyfriends.

In that case, the men have no choice but to step up and turn themselves into boyfriend material. There’s no way to determine which particular type of boyfriend works for any one girl, but it’s possible to be as close to ideal boyfriend material by making a few changes.
Once you’re in that category, your chances of finding a girlfriend will start to look more promising than when you weren’t boyfriend material. Duh.
But before you start telling people that you’ve decided to become someone’s boyfriend, do you have any idea what it means to be boyfriend material?
What makes you boyfriend material?
Simply put, someone who is boyfriend material has the capacity to be an effective boyfriend. For transparency’s sake, an effective boyfriend is someone who embodies these three major traits.
#1 Loyalty. A boyfriend needs to be someone trustworthy. It’s not just about being monogamous. Your partner should be able to trust you with their physical and emotional well-being.
#2 Attractiveness. Attraction is subjective. Your partner needs to be attracted to you – not just physically, but also emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.
#3 Compassion. This is where love comes in. You can’t be someone’s boyfriend if you’re not willing to let people in. Share your feelings, empathize with your partner, and do what you can to connect.
But you already have these traits! Why are you still not boyfriend material? It’s probably because having those traits isn’t enough. You have to put them in action, and it’s not easy, considering there are so many things that you need to do as a boyfriend.
This could also mean that you have non-boyfriend material traits. There are also traits that make you incapable of being a boyfriend, let alone a good one.
What makes you non-boyfriend material?
The following traits are those which many women consider to be major turn offs, and should therefore be shed from your personality.
#1 Indecisiveness. Before you can become a good boyfriend, you need to know what you want first. Are you ready to be in a relationship? What type of person are you looking for? Knowing these things is necessary, in order to become a good boyfriend.
#2 Insecurity. You can’t be in a healthy relationship if you don’t think much of yourself. Your insecurities will reflect on the way you handle your side of the relationship, thereby ruining your chances of getting together with the girl you like.
#3 Selfishness. Selfish people are the ones who worry more about how people perceive them, rather than how they should treat those that they care about. They also count favors, measure affection, and resent people who don’t live up to their expectations. How can you be a caring boyfriend if you embody this type of trait?
How to become boyfriend material
We can’t exactly enumerate a step-by-step cheat sheet for you to become boyfriend material, but we do have some helpful hints that will take you one step closer to forming a special bond with someone you really like.
#1 Be intuitive. Intuition and sensitivity are your most effective assets in becoming boyfriend material. Knowing where you stand can go a long way to becoming a good boyfriend.
#2 Be selective. Be a good boyfriend to a good girlfriend. Avoid abusive, opportunistic, and close-minded people who will only ruin your positive outlook in life. If you’re already in that type of relationship, do your best to help your partner deal with their problems. Get out of a relationship if your efforts aren’t making a difference.
#3 Be honest. A relationship won’t work if it’s based on lies. We understand that there are some things that are better left unsaid, but lying won’t help make them disappear. Sooner or later, the truth will come out. If it doesn’t, the weight of your dishonesty might affect your relationship.
#4 Be polite. Even though you’re in a relationship, it does not give you a free pass to treat your partner horribly. No matter what situation you are in, treat them with the utmost respect, and ask them to do the same for you.
#5 Be chivalrous. Being a good boyfriend requires you to perform at least the most rudimentary forms of chivalry. Opening a door for your partner, paying the bill on the first date, or just offering to do small chores that you know you’re more physically capable of are some of the ways you can be more chivalrous.
#6 Be a [gentle]man. Do what society expects you to do – in the context of dating, that is. Make the first move, call her first, pick her up, escort her home, or put your jacket over a puddle. We’re kidding with that last one, but you see where we’re going with this.
#7 Be generous. If you want to shower her with gifts, go ahead, but being generous isn’t just about material things. Be generous with your affection, your attention, and your love. Don’t be shy about giving everything you’ve got. The rewards more than make up for it.
#8 Be daring. Even men have insecurities when it comes to dating. Throw those out the door and be confident about the fact that you are boyfriend material. Any girl would be lucky to have you! So go out, talk to the girl of your dreams, and make it happen.
#9 Be assertive. Don’t be complacent. The ones who don’t go after what they want always end up losing. That’s what they say about “nice” guys, right? So, don’t be a nice guy. Be an awesome, all-around, good guy.
#10 Be open to compromise. To be a good boyfriend, you have to know when to back down from a fight. You don’t even have to fight at all. Just talk things through, and communicate your wants and needs to your partner. Make sure you consider hers, too.
#11 Be spontaneous. Protocols and patterns can be boring, sometimes. Do things differently just to spice things up. Good boyfriends know when to have fun and when to take chances. Just don’t do anything illegal or dangerous, ‘kay?
#12 Be vulnerable. Stop putting up walls just because you’re afraid of getting hurt. Your partner might be feeling the same way, so be the bigger person, and open yourself up to that person. Seeing you do that may urge them to open up to you more as well.
#13 Be loving. Need I say more?
#14 Be gracious. If you embody all these characteristics and attitudes, but still can’t get a girlfriend, don’t fret! That just means that the person you thought you liked isn’t a good match for you. You don’t want to force someone to like you just because you want them to, right?
#15 Be vigilant. Don’t give up so easily. If someone rejects you, you can always find someone who will appreciate you for being the awesome boyfriend that you are.
Becoming boyfriend material is not just about performing specific duties. It is also about being a good person, and being able to show love to someone who needs and deserves it.

Student Allegedly Wanted To Kill His Girlfriend By Pouring Bleach In Her Drink To Cause A Forceful Abortion

A college student in Millersville, Pennsylvania was charged with attempted murder on Friday after allegedly giving his pregnant girlfriend water mixed with bleach in an attempt to kill the fetus.

Theophilous Washington, 20, allegedly suggested his girlfriend drink the tainted water as she was leaving his apartment on Thursday evening. After she returned to her dorm room on campus at Millersville University, she suddenly "experienced a burning sensation in her throat before vomiting uncontrollably," People reports. She then called 911 and was taken to the hospital, where doctors confirmed that both she and the two-month-old fetus appeared to be unharmed.

Washington was arrested on Friday and charged with reckless endangering and criminal attempt to commit first-degree murder of an unborn child.

"The charges are twisted and the intended result nothing short of horrifying," District Attorney Craig Stedman said in a statement.

Prosecutors added that Washington has admitted to putting bleach in the water bottle before giving it to his girlfriend, adding that, "He had stated previously that he did not want the female to have the child."

Washington is currently in custody on $1 million bail. He has not entered a plea deal, and it is unclear at this time if he has retained an attorney. Additional charges may still be filed as the investigation continues.

Additional reporting from The Associated Press.

Here Are Characteristics of An Immature and a Matured Relationship

Mature couples don't “fall in love,” they step into it. Love isn't something you fall for; it's something you rise for.
Falling denotes lowering oneself, dropping down and being stuck somewhere lower than where you started. You have to get up from falling.

Love isn't like that — at least not with people who are doing it right. Immature couples fall; mature couples coast. Because love is either a passing game, or it's forever. Love is either wrong, or it's right. A couple is either mature or immature.
How do you know? How can you tell if your relationship is in it for the long haul or the two-month plummet everyone predicted behind your love-obsessed back?
First, it should be easy, from the beginning to end. There are no passionate fights with passionate make-up sex. There's no obsessive calling, texting or worrying.
There's no real drama. Because drama is for kids. Drama is for people who don't know how to have a relationship — who live by idealistic, preconceived notions that love must be wild and obsessive.
Love is easy. It's the easiest thing you've ever done. It's the calmest place in your life, the safest blanket you've ever worn. It's something that happens naturally; it doesn't need to be fought for day in and day out.
When you love someone, and he or she loves you, and there's no doubt to his or her feelings and no doubt to yours, that's peace of mind. A peace of mind you've never had before.. the kind that humbles and revives you.
A mature relationship lives by this peace of mind; immature ones drown in it.

Immature relationships ask questions; mature relationships answer them

Immature relationships are all about doubts. Does he love me? Is she cheating on me? Will we be together in two months?
Mature couples don't need to ask questions. They already know the answers, and they don't need reassurance from their partners.
They are comfortable and secure and free of doubt because mature love isn't about all those small questions, but a comfort in knowing the big one is answered.

Immature relationships leave you wanting something; mature relationships give you what you need

There's a void in immature relationships, an apparent absence and incessant worry that something's missing.
It eats away at you when you go to sleep or leave each other for just a few hours. It burns dimly when you're together, but you wave it off with sex and constant chatter.
Mature relationships have no void. There are no empty spaces or tiny cracks. There is never a feeling that something has been taken away or is leaving with the other person.
The love between the two mature people fills every crack in the fiber of their being they didn't know they had.

Immature relationships are striving to be one complete person; mature relationships are okay being two

Immature relationships are formed by two incomplete people. They are two halves trying to make one whole.
They are two people looking for something that can't be found in another person. They dominate each other, force themselves together and make one flawed mesh of a human.
Mature couples never strive to be one. They are two individual people looking to make two better people. The love between the two of them isn't about making both of them whole again, but more individual.
It's about pushing each other to pursue their passions, interests and become the best person possible.

Immature relationships lose their drive; mature relationships make you more motivated

We all get wrapped up in love. It's easy to spend days in bed and weekends in the hazy world of blankets and kisses.
But eventually, that smothering love is replaced with motivated love — a type of love that comes when you want to make a life with someone and work hard to get that life. Immature couples never get to this.
They never feel that motivation to leave each other only to come back more successful and more determined to make a life for the two of them.

Immature relationships fight over text messages; mature relationships are always face-to-face

Fighting is natural; texting is not. Mature couples do not spend their days bickering over a screen.
When they have something to work out, they do it face to face — where the meanings can't be misconstrued by emojis and auto correct. Immature couples fuel their relationship with incessant bickering and lengthy messages.
Immature couples see long texts as evidence of their “relationship” and find comfort in spending hours hiding behind their phones. They argue just to argue; mature couples fight for their future.

Immature relationships are about trying to find yourself; mature relationships already know themselves

Relationships are only for two complete people looking for companionship, yet many incomplete people look for it to complete them. This is when mature relationships and immature ones split.
You can't have a healthy relationship with two unhealthy people. When you're trying to use someone to complete you, you're creating an incomplete relationship.

Immature relationships are threatened by everyone else; mature relationships enjoy meeting other people

There are always going to be people in your life, pasts to each person and surprises behind closed doors.
Mature couples, however, do not feel threatened by strangers and past lovers. They are confident in their love and their partner's love.
Immature couples find threats in everyone. They're delusional and paranoid because their love is superficial. They do not have a strong enough foundation to effortlessly glide past all the distractions and threats.

Immature relationships live by preconceived timelines; mature relationships let everything happen naturally

There's no right or wrong time to move in together. There's no specific year to get married and definitely not a timeline for your life together.
When you're in love, things happen at their own pace. You feel things, and you follow your heart.
Immature couples, however, don't have those feelings, those instincts and those effortless moments. They make up rules and guidelines and assume time is the only thing that makes or breaks their relationship.

Immature relationships judge you on your past; mature relationships help you carry it

We all have a past, and in many cases, one we're not proud of. We can't help what happened to people before we knew them. All that matters is how they are now. Immature couples, however, refuse to see beyond the past.
Mature couples don't just accept one another’s pasts but want to help heal the wounds. They look beyond the mistakes and the flaws toward the beauty in the future together.
